This month, the Utah football team has been hit with COVID-19 cases, causing them to miss two consecutive games, and a new report indicated that the basketball program has multiple COVID-19 cases as well.
Matt Norlander of CBS Sports reports that the Utah men’s basketball team has multiple COVID-19 cases in the program, which means the program will be on pause for the foreseeable future.
The college basketball season tips off on Nov. 25. Utah’s nonconference schedule has yet to be officially announced, but BYU has announced it will host Utah on Dec. 12 and UVU announced it will travel to Salt Lake City on Dec. 15. The Utes open Pac-12 play on Dec. 3 against Washington before traveling to Tempe to take on Arizona State on Dec. 22. Utah will then head to Southern California to play USC and UCLA during the week of Dec. 30, then host Oregon and Oregon State the week of Jan. 6.
