Throughout their relationship, former Alta High School soccer star Kealia Ohai Watt — formerly of the Houston Dash and now of the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League — and Houston Texans All-Pro defensive end JJ Watt have become known for their philanthropic efforts, most notably relief efforts after Hurricane Harvey, which ravaged Houston in 2017.
The couple got married last month, and on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, they have donated $350,000 to the Houston Food Bank.
Schefter reported the money would be enough to buy more than one million meals.
More generosity: @JJWatt and his wife @KealiaOhai have personally donated $350,000 to the @HoustonFoodBank, providing over one million meals for those in need during this unprecedented time.

As far as the couple’s respective leagues are concerned, the NFL has canceled its annual meeting, which was scheduled for March 29-April 1, although Schefter reported Sunday that free agency negotiations, which are scheduled to begin Monday, will go on as normal.
The NWSL, which isn’t currently scheduled to begin until mid-April, mandated last week that teams could not train through Sunday, but on Sunday afternoon, the league pushed that back a week through March 22.
