SALT LAKE CITY — Weber State had a program-high four players make the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, released Wednesday.
Defensive ends Adam Rodriguez and Jonah Williams, offensive lineman Xavier Stilson and punter Doug Lloyd all earned the distinction.
The NFF has honored thousands of student-athletes since 2007. Criteria for making the honor society includes maintaining a 3.2 GPA or better throughout college, athletes completing their final year of playing eligibility, meeting all NCAA or NAIA-mandated progress toward degree requirements and having been a starter or significant contributor for their respective teams.
Williams, an All-American in 2019, was the Big Sky Defensive MVP and finished his career with 15 sacks. He graduated last December with a degree in Business Administration/Finance.
Rodriguez also was named an All-American last year while earning All-Big Sky honors — he had 10.5 sacks on the seasons — and serving as a team captain. He is majoring in Exercise and Sport.
Stilson started every 15 for Weber State as a senior while majoring in Microbiology.
Lloyd twice earned All-Big Sky Conference honors at Weber State finished his senior season 11th in the nation in punting at 43.4 yards per punt. He is majoring in Information Systems and Technology.
