Michael Jordan reportedly turned down $100 million for a brief appearance, his agent said in a recent interview.

What’s the news:

  • Jordan’s agent, David Falk, told WFAN’s “Boomer and Gio” that Jordan used to be pretty picky when it came to different projects and appearances, according to CNN.
  • Falk said: “I brought him a deal three years ago for $100 million. All he had to do was, other than giving his name and likeness, make a one two-hour appearance to announce the deal and he turned it down,” Falk said Wednesday, without providing any additional details on the deal.
  • “God bless him. He’s been so successful, it gives him an opportunity to do whatever ... he wants or not to do things he doesn’t want. I really admire that. He’s very, very selective in the things he wants to be involved in.”

Jordan’s latest project

  • Jordan has been involved with the release of the ESPN and Netflix documentary “The Last Dance,” which focuses on the ‘97-’98 season for the Chicago Bulls.
  • The documentary includes commentary from Jordan, who reflects on his former teammates and opponents of the era.
  • Jordan agreed to release the footage during the NBA Finals celebration parade for the Cleveland Cavaliers, ESPN reported.
