Deseret News celebrates all 630 baseball seniors from Class of 2020 in honorary all-state baseball team
Without the opportunity to select an all-state baseball team in 2020 because of COVID-19, the Deseret News is celebrating all 630 seniors in the state
The Deseret News’ commitment to covering high school sports through the years has always been about promoting great kids doing great things athletically. This spring, COVID-19 is preventing us from doing that — which extends to the postseason as well as there won’t be an all-state baseball team.
Those all-state teams would’ve inevitably featured numerous seniors who ended their careers with a bang this spring. Because it’s impossible to know which of those seniors would’ve excelled the most with a full season on the mound or in the batters box, the Deseret News is excited to honor all 630 seniors whose final season was cut short by a pandemic.
The 54 seniors from Region 1 who won’t be competing for playoff wins this spring.
The 39 seniors from Region 2 who won’t be competing for playoff wins this spring.
