SALT LAKE CITY — Former Ute Justin Bibbins is continuing his professional basketball career overseas.

According to a report from Sportando’s Nicola Lupo, Bibbins has signed with Legia Warsaw, which plays in the Polish EBL, the top tier of professional basketball in Poland. Legia Warsaw, located in Warsaw, Poland, went 5-17 last season and finished in 14th place in the EBL.

The 5-foot-8, 150-pound Bibbins enters his third season of professional basketball overseas since graduating from Utah in 2018. Bibbins got his pro ball start in Poland in the 2018-19 season, playing for Polpharma Starogard Gdanski in the top tier of Polish basketball. Bibbins averaged 17.8 points, 5.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.3 rebounds per game in his rookie campaign as Polpharma Starogard Gdanski finished with a record of 13-17.

Last season, Bibbins split his time between Zalakeramia-ZTE KK of the Hungarian NBIA, the top pro league in Hungary, and KK Mladost Admiral Zemun of the Serbian KLS, the top league in Serbia. Bibbins played 11 games for Zalakeramia-ZTE KK, averaging 15.8 points and 4.9 assists, and played six games for KK Mladost Admiral Zemun, averaging 18.5 points and 5.5 assists.

Bibbins spent three years at Long Beach State before transferring to Utah for his senior season in 2017-18. At the U., Bibbins was Utah’s starting point guard, averaging nearly 15 points, 4.7 assists and 1.3 times steals per game. Bibbins helped lead Utah to a 23-12 record as the Utes advanced to the NIT finals.
