The early signing period is a day away and commitments are on the rise for BYU, Utah and Utah State
Whether it be the middle of the college football season, the dog days of summer or the outset of spring or fall camp, recruiting is an ever present part of college football. Arguably the most important part.
As Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said following the Bulldogs’ victory over rival Florida on Oct. 30: “There’s no coach out there that can out-coach recruiting. I don’t care who you are. The best coach to ever play the game better be a good recruiter because no coaching is going to out-coach players.”
Bowl season is here, which means the early signing period is closer than ever — recruits can sign with schools starting tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 15 — and there has been a deluge of commitments and decommitments leading up to the day.
Here is a look at the latest on the 2022 recruiting classes for each of the FBS programs — BYU, Utah and Utah State — in the Beehive State, with prospects listed according to reporting by 247 Sports, Rivals and the Deseret News.
