The Big 12 Conference has crafted a “Big 12 Eats” menu for its men’s and women’s basketball championships, and it’s honoring newcomer BYU with a decadent dessert.

No, it’s not a “Cougar Tail” donut. It’s churros stuffed with caramel and topped with candy.

“Cosmo’s Churros (are) caramel-filled churros topped with sweet cream drizzle, mini marshmallows, cinnamon sugar and toffee crumble,” the conference explained on X, the site formerly called Twitter.

Big 12 Eats

This year’s “Big 12 Eats” menu is the second such menu put together by the Big 12.

Last year’s menu featured items such as the Baylor Float — made with Dr. Pepper and vanilla ice cream — and the (Texas) Longhorn Quesadilla.

The Big 12 aimed to kick the menu “up a notch” this year, according to its thread on X about the special food items.

Big 12 basketball championships

The Big 12 women’s basketball championship begins Thursday and lasts until Tuesday, March 12. It’s taking place at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

  • BYU is the No. 10 seed and will first play on Friday against No. 7 Kansas.

The Big 12 men’s basketball championship is also in Kansas City this year. It begins Tuesday, March 12, and lasts until Saturday, March 16.
