Former Utah punter Jack Bouwmeester is headed to Texas to finish out his college career.

More specifically, he’s joining the Longhorns program.

Bouwmeester, the Utes’ starting punter the past three seasons, announced his commitment to Texas on X on Friday, less than a week after the NCAA transfer portal officially opened Monday.

Bouwmeester was a second-team All-Big 12 performer during the 2024 season and earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors the year before.

He was also a 2023 semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award — annually given to the nation’s top collegiate punter — and was named to the award’s watch list this season.
