The BYU-Utah game is headed back to Fox.
The Cougars and Utes will kick off on Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. MDT, the Big 12 announced Monday, with Fox set to broadcast the LaVell Edwards Stadium action.
This will be the first time BYU-Utah has been played on Fox since 2016, though 2018’s rivalry installment was broadcast on FS1. Each of the three most recent games in the series were all broadcast on ESPN.

Additionally, this is the earliest kickoff time for a Cougars-Utes clash since 2016 as well. The past five rivalry contests all began at 8 p.m. local time or later, with Fox instead putting 2025’s game in the 6 p.m. window to potentially draw a larger audience.
BYU is currently 5-0 and ranked No. 18 nationally, with the Cougars traveling to Arizona this weekend prior to returning to Provo to face the Utes.
Utah is 4-1, only having lost to Big 12 favorite Texas Tech, and will play at home against Arizona State on Saturday before heading down south.
BYU is riding a two-game win streak in the rivalry after having snapped Utah’s nine-game unbeaten stretch in 2021.
