Despite riding a 12-game win streak, BYU has fallen out of the top 10 of the AP poll for the first time this season.
The Cougars came in at No. 11 in Monday’s AP Top 25, dropping two spots from last week and three spots overall from their No. 8 preseason ranking.
The Cougars are joined by five other Big 12 squads in this week’s poll — No. 1 Arizona, No. 2 Iowa State, No. 7 Houston and No. 15 Texas Tech.
Additionally, BYU’s two preseason exhibition opponents — Nebraska and UNC — each came in at No. 8 and No. 14, respectively.
In KenPom, BYU ranks No. 11, while also sitting at No. 9 in NET.
Additionally, Utah State made its season poll debut by coming in at No. 23 following the Aggies’ sizzling 14-1 start.
Utah State ranks No. 20 in KenPom and No. 13 in NET.
The Cougars face TCU at home Wednesday night before heading for a ranked road showdown against Texas Tech in one of their toughest tests to date.
The Aggies host Nevada at the Spectrum in Logan Wednesday and travel to Grand Canyon for a Saturday matchup as well.
