In the Class of 2022, quarterback Devin Brown was a top-50 prospect in the country coming out of Utah’s Corner Canyon High.
Brown first committed to USC but ultimately signed with Ohio State before playing just sparingly over three seasons behind the likes of C.J. Stroud, Kyle McCord and Will Howard.
Prior to the 2025 season Brown transferred to Cal, but again was the backup signal caller, this time to freshman star Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele.
Exactly a month ago Friday, legendary Corner Canyon coach Eric Kjar made the move to the college ranks by becoming the head coach at Weber State, and 15 days later on New Year’s Eve, news broke that Brown would be entering the transfer portal.
At the time, many thought Brown might reunite with Kjar at Weber State, and on Friday that became a reality as Brown signed with the program.
In Brown, Weber State gets a 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback who possesses plenty of talent but hasn’t yet consistently displayed it at the collegiate level.
During his college career, Brown has completed 31 of 55 pass attempts for 379 yards with four touchdowns against two interceptions.
A native of Arizona, Brown transferred to Corner Canyon for his senior year of high school and set a Utah state record in 2021 for most passing yards in a season with 4,875.
