For the second straight season, BYU boasts a First Team All-Big 12 men’s basketball selection.

The conference announced its yearly awards Monday afternoon, with Cougars superstar AJ Dybantsa earning unanimous first-team honors along with the Freshman of the Year award.

Dybantsa’s recognition comes as a result of his 24.7 points-per-game average, the highest such mark in the country, along with averages of 6.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists.

But Dybantsa was surprisingly not tabbed for Big 12 Player of the Year, losing out to Jaden Bradley of regular-season conference champion Arizona.

Cougars point guard Rob Wright III, with 18.6 points and 4.6 assists per game to his name, was named to the Third Team, while Utah guard Terrence Brown was an Honorable Mention selection after averaging 19.8 points and 3.8 assists per game.
