The transfer portal continues to add players from BYU.

Cougars guard Tyler Mrus is the latest such departure from Provo, announcing his intention to transfer Thursday via social media.

Mrus appeared in 27 games during his lone season at BYU, averaging 2.0 points and 0.9 rebounds while shooting 31% from the field.

While he was a near 40% 3-point shooter and double-digit scorer at Idaho prior to landing with the Cougars, Mrus never found any consistent success at BYU, playing less than 10 minutes per game and now finding himself back on the transfer circuit for the second straight year.

Mrus is the fifth BYU player to enter the portal this week, joining Xavion Staton, Rob Wright III, Dominique Diomande and Kennard Davis Jr.
