Sky View 8, Green Canyon 6

Sky View rallied in the late innings to beat Green Canyon 8-6 in Game 2 of their 4A Region series. Sky View’s C.J. Lofthouse hit a pivotal triple in the sixth inning, bringing home two runs. With the series now tied at 1-1, the teams will meet again for a decisive Game 3.

Cedar City 10, Park City 7

Payton Ludlow went 2 for 2 with two RBIs, leading Cedar to a 10-7 victory over Park City in the 4A Regionals, securing their spot in the Super Regionals with a 2-0 series win. Cedar rallied fiercely with a seven-run surge in the top of the seventh inning to overturn Park City’s early 4-0 lead from the first inning. Despite a late two-run attempt in the final frame, Park City couldn’t close the gap, resulting in their elimination.

Uintah 12, Stansbury 6

Uintah surged in the fourth inning to pull away from Stansbury, winning 12-6 in a 4A regional game and forcing a decisive Game 3. The Utes put up three runs in the fourth and added four more in the fifth, with Cooper Goodrich going 2 for 4 and driving in five runs. Brody Murray also contributed significantly by going 2 for 4 with an RBI. Stansbury had a brief early lead with three runs in the first inning but couldn’t maintain the advantage. The series is now tied 1-1.

Mountain View 4, Hurricane 3

Mountain View rallied in the sixth inning to secure a 4-3 victory over Hurricane in their 4A Regional contest. Tied at two after five innings, Joshua Hair and Diego Falcon drove in the critical runs for Mountain View. Both teams displayed solid defense with seven hits each and zero errors, but the Bruins’ late surge proved decisive. Mountain View advances to the 4A Super Regionals against No. 1 Snow Canyon with the 2-0 series win.

Dixie 9, Murray 5

No. 9 Dixie won 9-5 over No. 24 Murray in Game 2 of their 4A Regional series, advancing to the 4A Super Regionals with a 2-0 series win. Dixie trailed 2-1 after the third inning but rallied with three runs in the fifth and five in the sixth. Carson Espley went 2 for 3 at the plate with two RBIs for Dixie. Dixie will play No. 8 Mountain Crest in the 4A Super Regionals.

Deseret Peak 12, Juan Diego 7

Deseret Peak forced a decisive Game 3 against Juan Diego with a 12-7 victory in this 4A regional matchup. Beckham Rowley led Deseret Peak’s offense, hitting a home run and driving in four runs. Juan Diego’s Jordan Montoya contributed with a triple and three RBIs in the loss. The series stands tied at 1-1, with both teams set to face off again to determine who advances.

Pine View 7, East 0

Pine View advanced to the 4A Super Regionals with a 7-0 victory over East, clinching the series 2-0. The Panthers utilized a sharp performance on the mound and effective hitting to keep the Leopards scoreless. The win propels Pine View to the next stage of competition.

Highland 4, Orem 3

Highland’s Taylor Saunders tripled and drove in two runs to lead the Rams to a 4-3 victory over No. 10 Orem, forcing a decisive Game 3 in the 4A Playoffs regional series. Highland capitalized in the fourth inning with a four-run surge, holding off a late comeback attempt by Orem in the final innings. Alex Just’s nine strikeouts for Highland proved instrumental in maintaining their lead and tying the series at 1-1.

Stansbury 6, Uintah 4

Stansbury secured a 6-4 victory over Uintah in a nonregion 4A Playoff matchup. Stansbury’s surge in the second inning, scoring five runs, set the tone for their win, with Tyler Thorpe contributing with a RBI and two strikeouts. Uintah attempted a late rally, adding two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth inning, but fell short as Cooper Kay was tagged with the loss on the mound.

Sky View 5, Green Canyon 4

Sky View overcame Green Canyon with a late-game surge to win 5-4 in a region 4A playoffs game. Sky View’s Tucker Stokes went 1 for 4 with two RBIs in the intense matchup, while CJ Lofthouse also contributed two RBIs going 1 for 5. Despite Green Canyon’s Braxton Bowman’s RBI, the Wolves couldn’t maintain their lead in the latter innings.

Juan Diego 6, Deseret Peak 0

Juan Diego blanked Deseret Peak 6-0 in a 4A playoff region game, with Beckham Black striking out five in a stellar performance. Juan Diego leveraged a four-run second inning and added two more insurance runs in the fifth. Jordan Montoya went 1 for 3 at the plate, driving in three runs for the Soaring Eagle.

Orem 11, Highland 4

Orem defeated Highland 11-4 in the decisive Game 3 of the 4A Regionals best-of-3 series, advancing to the Super Regionals. Highlighting Orem’s performance, Chase Ford went 3 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs while Benji Engeman went 4 for 5, adding two RBIs. After falling behind 2-1 in the first three innings, the Tigers surged ahead in the fourth inning with three runs and sealed the victory with a six-run fifth inning.

Gunnison Valley 10, Millard 0

Waylon Sorenson threw a five-inning no-hitter with 14 strikeouts to lead Gunnison Valley to a 10-0 victory over Millard in a 2A first-round game. Gunnison Valley scored in every inning, including a five-run fourth to seal the win. Millard was held hitless throughout the game as Sorenson dominated on the mound.

San Juan 16, Duchesne 6

In a 2A Playoffs first-round matchup at San Juan High School, Keilan Hutchins of San Juan delivered a standout performance, going 1 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs, leading San Juan to a decisive 16-6 victory over Duchesne. San Juan scored eight of its runs in the third inning, which propelled the team to overcome an early 1-0 deficit after the first inning. Duchesne managed to put three runs on the board in the fifth inning, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap.

Beaver 17, North Summit 2

Ki Anzalone and Beau Beaumont each went 3 for 3, leading Beaver to a commanding 17-2 victory over North Summit in their 2A first-round playoff game. Beaver dominated early, scoring 12 runs in the opening inning and another five in the second, leaving no room for North Summit to recover. North Summit managed to score only in the first and fourth innings in the nonregion contest.

Kanab 11, Grand 0

Kyan Lyman threw a five-inning no-hitter, leading Kanab to an 11-0 victory over Grand in a 2A first-round playoff game. Kanab’s offense was propelled by Sayer Fenus, who went 2 for 3, driving in four runs. The Cowboys secured the win with five runs in the first inning and continued their dominance by adding two runs in each of the subsequent three innings.

South Sevier 17, Milford 4

South Sevier clinched a decisive 17-4 victory over Milford in a Class 2A first-round game at San Juan High School.

American Leadership 8, South Summit 7

Justus Brost’s three RBIs led American Leadership to an 8-7 victory over South Summit in the first round of the 2A playoffs. South Summit jumped ahead with six runs in the second inning, but American Leadership gradually closed the gap with contributions throughout the game, including a late surge with three runs in the sixth inning. Travin Hales recorded five strikeouts, helping the Eagles secure the win. American Leadership advances to face No. 3 Gunnison Valley.

Parowan 5, Enterprise 2

Gradey Osborne’s pitching led Parowan with three strikeouts, propelling them to a 5-2 victory over Enterprise in a 2A first round playoff game. Parowan broke a scoreless game in the fourth inning, scoring four runs, and despite Enterprise’s two-run sixth inning, Parowan sealed its win with an additional run later. Enterprise managed eight hits against Parowan’s 10 but was undone by three errors.

Millard 3, South Summit 1

Ammon Memmott went 3 for 4, leading Millard to a 3-1 victory over South Summit in a nonregion 2A state tournament elimination game. Millard rallied with two runs in the fourth inning and one run in the seventh, overcoming an early 1-0 deficit scored by South Summit in the third inning. Zach Higgins earned the win for Millard, striking out three Wildcats over the course of the game.

Enterprise 5, Grand 4

Enterprise staged a comeback to beat Grand 5-4 in a 2A state tournament elimination game. Javin Randall struck out five, bolstering Enterprise’s defense after Grand took a three-run lead in the fifth inning. Enterprise tied it in the bottom of the fifth and went ahead with a run in the sixth, while Jack Moyle went 2 for 3 with an RBI double.

Monticello 11, North Summit 0

In a dominant performance during the 2A one-loss bracket, Monticello defeated North Summit 11-0 in a nonregion game. Monticello’s Jackson Keyes was formidable at the plate, going 2 for 4 and driving in four runs. Triston Felix led the pitching for the Buckaroos with 12 strikeouts, shutting out the Braves who managed just two hits.

Duchesne 9, Milford 6

In the 2A elimination game of the state tournament, Duchesne overcame an early deficit to defeat Milford 9-6. Duchesne’s Nashden Goodliffe hit a home run and recorded two RBIs. Milford initially led 4-2 after the first inning, but Duchesne responded with seven runs across the next six innings, including three in the fourth and one more insurance run in the seventh inning. Duchesne tallied 15 hits, offsetting its two errors, while Milford managed six hits and committed three errors.

San Juan 6, South Sevier 2

San Juan bested South Sevier 6-2 in a second round 2A state tournament matchup, marking their second win of the day. The Broncos gained an early advantage with four runs in the first inning and cemented their lead with two more in the fourth. Kreed Herring led San Juan with 13 strikeouts, while Keilan Hutchins drove in two runs to help secure the victory.

Beaver 16, North Sevier 1

Beaver secured a commanding 16-1 win over North Sevier in a Region 2A second-round playoff game, marking its second victory of the day. Raider Blomquist stood out with a home run and four RBI, while Sam Smith hit a triple contributing two RBI. Beaver’s decisive 12-run third inning left North Sevier unable to recover, as they only managed one run in the fourth.

Gunnison Valley 11, American Leadership 7

Gunnison Valley triumphed over American Leadership, 11-7, in a 2A second round playoff game. After trailing with no runs scored in the second inning, Gunnison Valley surged with seven runs in the third inning, taking a commanding lead. Dillon Dyreng contributed significantly to the victory with a performance that included going 2 for 3 at the plate and driving in two runs.

Kanab 13, Parowan 0

Kanab dominated with an impressive 13-0 victory over Parowan in a region 2A second-round playoff game. Walker Baird was stellar on the mound, striking out 10. Kanon Virostko led the Cowboys’ offense, going 2 for 4, including a home run and three RBIs, as Kanab scored two runs in the first inning, seven in the third, and four in the fourth for the afternoon win.
