For the first time since August 2025, the Salt Lake Bees were victors in a series, taking four games from the El Paso Chihuahuas inside The Ballpark at America First Square this week. Starting a season-long 12-game homestand, the hosts relied on offensive explosions and reached double digits in three of the four wins. The series saw three theme nights combined with the season’s first drone show.

Series recap

Salt Lake secured the first two games of the series, each by double digits. Eleven early runs in Tuesday’s opener was more than enough run support for starter Sam Aldegheri. The Italian collected his first Triple-A quality start (at least six innings of three runs or fewer) in the 11-4 win. As the Utah Dirty Sodas on Wednesday, the offense kept swinging hot bats and posted a season-high seven runs in the sixth inning to cruise to a 12-4 victory.

A tight one-run contest went El Paso’s way on Thursday night, as two first-inning runs were all Salt Lake could muster in a 3-2 defeat. Donovan Walton’s seventh inning grand slam punctuated Friday’s 10-5 result in favor of the home team.

After relinquishing a late lead, Christian Moore rallied the troops on Saturday’s Military Appreciation Night with his second walk-off hit of the season in the ninth inning. His efforts secured a 5-4 win and the team’s first series victory of the year. Sunday’s finale saw an offensive barrage from the visitors, as El Paso tallied 10 runs over the final four innings to take the sixth game 12-7. Following the first winning week of the year, Salt Lake is 20-24 in the Pacific Coast League (PCL), sitting in eighth out of 10 teams. El Paso is one game ahead at 21-24 as both teams trail league leader Sacramento (25-18) as the first half rolls on.
