Bryce Harper can add another accomplishment to his long list of them in his Major League Baseball career.

On Saturday, Harper hit for the cycle — the first time he’s ever done so in the majors — as his Philadelphia Phillies cruised past the Miami Marlins 15-3 at home, and he did it in just five innings.

Harper, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, hit a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning, a double and single in the bottom of the third (12 Phillies batted in the frame as they scored eight runs) and the usually tricky triple in the bottom of the fifth.

He grounded out in the bottom of the seventh to finish the game 4 of 5 with three RBI and two runs scored.

Through just less than half of the 2026 season, Harper is batting .259 with 16 home runs and 43 RBI. His batting average is his worst since he joined the Phillies for the 2019 season after spending his first seven seasons in the majors with the Washington Nationals.

Philadelphia started this season just 9-19 before firing manager Rob Thomson. Since then, the Phillies have gone 32-16 under interim manager and former MLB star Don Mattingly and have the fifth-best record in the National League.
