The NHL’s worst-kept secret is official: Every team is getting a new alternate jersey in 2026-27.
They’re calling it the “Hometown Remix” series, confirming what an anonymous Reddit user leaked months ago.
According to a press release from the league, they hope to “uniquely and authentically celebrate the fans, city and local culture of each team.” Every team will also come out with a new line of Hometown Remix merchandise as part of the release.
It’s the third league-wide jersey rollout since the COVID-19 pandemic, following the “Reverse Retro” jerseys of 2020-21 and the “Reverse Retro 2.0″ of 2022-23. Those were both under an Adidas’ NHL partnership, meaning the Hometown Remix jerseys are Fanatics’ first shot at this type of project.
The teams that play outdoor games in 2026-27, including the Utah Mammoth, will likely introduce multiple new jerseys this season, as those games typically come with their own kits.
What will the Utah Mammoth’s Hometown Remix jersey look like?
Icethetics, a content creation account with sources regarding NHL jerseys, reported details on all 32 teams’ Hometown Remix jerseys in a May YouTube video.
According to Icethetics, the Mammoth will wear “sky blue” as the base color (“Mountain Blue,” as the Mammoth call it). Many fans have been hoping for a blue jersey, with some even getting them custom-made from replicators.
The logo, according to the same source, will feature a “tusk-centered” design — possibly the “U” logo with a tusk sweeping through it that the Mammoth use on some of their merchandise.

What else has been leaked?
Two teams’ HTR jerseys have been leaked in the form of eBay listings, which Icethetics states are the official designs.
The most unique is that of the Florida Panthers, featuring the NHL’s first-ever pink jersey.
It features a reimagined version of the team’s original shoulder logo: a palm tree and a hockey stick making an “X” across the sun.
The New York Islanders’ jersey was also leaked and confirmed by Icethetics.
It’s a throwback to the “Fisherman” jersey the team wore in the late 1990s.
The Islanders brought back the dark version of the jersey as its Reverse Retro 2.0, with slight differences in the striping at the bottom. It nearly made yet another return in the Islanders’ ongoing jersey design contest, but was voted out in the second round.
The leaked HTR Fisherman is a white version, which the team has not worn since it disbanded the original iteration of the jersey.
Another notable design is the Anaheim Ducks reportedly using the shade of green from the Mighty Ducks movies. Not the teal from the NHL team’s original jerseys — the deep green that the fictional team wore in the first movie.
