Images tell the story as officials warn of ongoing air quality worries

Wildfires in the West and Canada continue to impact air quality in the Midwest and along the East Coast of their U.S., with no end in sight for the fires or the air.

One worry is Sunday’s FIFA World Cup finale between Spain and Argentina at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Authorities are warning of reduced visibility and the need to monitor consider conditions, saying breathing the air outside could be dangerous.

Officials urged residents to stay inside or wear masks outside as air quality reached unhealthy to hazardous levels, according to The Associated Press.
