The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a list of four common ways to deal with common human coronaviruses, which could come in handy right now for people in the United States.

The CDC has some general information about coronaviruses, which “cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory tract illnesses, like the common cold.”

  • “Most people get infected with one or more of these viruses at some point in their lives,” the CDC said.

The CDC has four treatment suggestions for common human coronaviruses, including:

  • Take pain and fever medications.
  • Use a room humidifier or take a hot shower to ease sore throat.
  • Drink plenty of liquids.
  • Stay home and quarantine.
