CNN reports that more than 24 tornadoes have been reported from eastern Kansas to southern Minnesota and Wisconsin since Monday night, with more severe weather possible in some areas for the next 24 hours.
The report also has an interactive map of the United States showing at least 27 reported tornadoes in the last seven days.
The Midwest has been hit the hardest. Significant damage, but no deaths, have been reported.
What states were hit by tornadoes on Tuesday?
The Detroit News reports two tornadoes touched down in western Michigan, one in Otsego and one in the Carson City area.
Elsewhere in Michigan, the Ann Arbor Fire Department responded to more than 75 storm-related calls by 5:20 a.m. Wednesday morning, per CBS News.
The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issued more than a dozen tornado warnings between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
The state was also put under a flood watch on Tuesday night.
Wisconsin and Iowa were were also hit by multiple tornadoes, a reported six across eastern Iowa and southern Wisconsin.
A tornado struck Kansas on Monday night, causing power outages and tearing off roofs. Local news reports indicate that dozens of homes were destroyed, and roads were littered with debris.

The list of states affected continues with Oklahoma, which also faced at least one confirmed tornado by the National Weather Service on Tuesday.
Officials suspect another tornado in Muskogee, but nothing’s been confirmed yet.
The state dealt and continues to deal with hail, strong winds and flooding. The Oklahoman reports one city receiving 2.62 inches of rain over the last 24 hours.
Are the storms over?
Local and National Weather Service teams are expected to investigate all of these to confirm whether they were tornadoes or just powerful winds.
Storms began Monday and may continue into the early hours of Thursday morning.
Iowa, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas face the highest chance of seeing continued storms on Wednesday, but the threat is much lower and less widespread on Thursday, according to forecasts.
A large part of Iowa remains at risk on Wednesday, with the primary concerns being strong winds and hail rather than tornadoes, according to local news.
