SALT LAKE CITY — A Sandy man was charged Thursday with injecting a girl with methamphetamine and engaging in sexual activity with her.
Dustin K. Scott, 44, of Sandy, is charged in 3rd District Court with four counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, and four counts of endangering a child, all third-degree felonies.
For three days in October 2018, a girl who was 15 at the time went to Scott’s home where he “injected her with methamphetamine four times,” according to charging documents. “(The girl) disclosed that the defendant engaged in sexual intercourse with her on four occasions during this time.”
Scott told the girl to “say she was 18 if anyone asked,” the charges state.
Police received a forensic report in November 2019 that linked DNA between Scott and the girl, according to the charges.
Scott, who has a lengthy drug-related criminal history, according to court records, was also convicted of an amended charge of attempted child sex abuse in 2001 and sentenced to six months in jail.
