ARCADIA, Duchesne County — A tanker truck driver was killed when his vehicle rolled Friday.
The driver, a 59-year-old man from Roosevelt, whose name was not yet released, was dead when deputies with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, near 13000 West and 3800 South, at about 10:40 p.m. on Friday.
It appears the tanker left the road and rolled, according to sheriff’s deputies, who also reported the single-vehicle crash was not witnessed. Another driver came up on the crash and called police.

A small amount of production water, a byproduct of oil and natural gas extraction, spilled from the tanker into a field near the road. The trucking company is responsible for any cleanup required.
