TAYLORSVILLE — Two people were injured in a traffic accident in Taylorsville, one critically, that left several lanes closed Wednesday night, according to police.

The crash occurred at 6200 S. Redwood Road at around 8:07 p.m and involved four vehicles, Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray said. A car was northbound on Redwood Road when another vehicle traveling east on 6200 South ran a red light and struck the other vehicles.

Gray reports one person sustained minor injuries and another is hospitalized in extremely critical.

The accident is still under investigation. Gray said there are no signs of impairment at this time.

All northbound, eastbound and westbound lanes, as well as the southbound left lane, were closed following the crash, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
