LOGAN — One person is dead after a crash at a small pond in Logan Wednesday evening.
According to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened near 1800 South and 2500 West. An investigation is ongoing, and “details of the crash will be released when the investigation is completed,” a news release stated.
Details about the person who was killed and how the accident occurred were not immediately available.

A freelance journalist captured images of the scene of the crash, including a car overturned on the edge of the pond alongside the road, apparently being held in place by a backhoe, as the sheriff’s office and Logan firefighters and paramedics responded. It was unclear whether the car had been in the water at some point.
