Salt Lake fire officials were trying to determine what started a grass fire along I-80 Saturday afternoon. “We had someone driving by that called it in about 3:13 p.m.,” said Greg Miller, fire investigator for Salt Lake City Fire Department. “It burned about a mile along I-80, and at this time the cause is undetermined.” There were no injuries or accidents caused by the fire, which filled the sky with flames and smoke about 5600 West. The fire didn’t damage any structures or power lines but burned “a lot of grass,” Miller said. “The wind picked it up pretty quick.”
