TAYLORSVILLE — A motorcyclist was killed early Friday in a hit-and-run crash in Taylorsville.
Terry Chavez, 56, of Taylorsville, was riding north on 3200 West when another vehicle pulled out in front of him at 5500 South, said Unified Police Sgt. Melody Cutler.
Chavez attempted to avoid hitting the car, but instead veered to the side and hit a parked vehicle, Cutler said. Chavez, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver left the scene. Cutler said as of Friday morning, police did not have a good description of the suspect vehicle.
