HERRIMAN — A man died in a rollover crash on the Mountain View Corridor in Herriman early Thursday.

About 1 a.m., a motorist spotted another car that was on its hood on an embankment where the Mountain View Corridor ends at Porter Rockwell Boulevard, said Herriman Police Lt. Cody Stromberg.

Police were called and found a man believed to be in his mid-50s dead inside the vehicle.

The Mountain View Corridor dead ends at Porter Rockwell, and vehicles must make a left turn. Stromberg said investigators believe the driver missed the turn and the vehicle rolled on the embankment.

The name of the man killed was not immediately released. Speed and alcohol were being looked at as possible factors in the crash, Stromberg said.
