A student at Brigham Young University was killed in a traffic accident at 433 N. 900 East in Provo Tuesday.

PROVO — A student at Brigham Young University was killed in a traffic accident in Provo Tuesday.

Just before 4 p.m., Joseph Spencer, 22, was pulling out of a Taco Bell, 433 N. 900 East, when his vehicle was T-boned on the driver’s side door by a pickup truck, according to Provo police.

Spencer, who police say was from northern Utah, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remained under investigation Wednesday.
