The Kansas State Network Inc. has been sold to a Billings, Mont., businessman, KSN Chairman George C. Hatch said Tuesday.

Hatch, Salt Lake City, announced completion of a stock purchase agreement for the company's stock with SJL of Kansas Inc., owned by George Lilly of Billings.KSN operates stations in Topeka, Wichita, Great Bend, Garden City and Oberlin.

Lilly owns television stations in Billings, as well as Buffalo and Syracuse, N.Y., and Raleigh-Durham and Fayetteville, N.C.

No decision has been made on whether to sell KSNT-TV in Topeka, which is licensed by Topeka TV Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of KSN. Hatch said the television station may be retained as a separate corporate operation.
