DISNEY WINS SUIT OVER ROGER RABBIT T-SHIRTS

The Walt Disney Co. won a $150,000 award from a T-shirt printer for infringement on its copyright by making and selling shirts with characters from the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit."

In his ruling Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Terence T. Evans also prohibited Concert Shirt Inc. of Milwaukee and its owner, Jack Kupper, from manufacturing or marketing merchandise with characters or objects from the movie.Kupper was found to have infringed on the copyright by using pictures of Roger Rabbit, Jessica and Benny the Cab.

Disney and Amblin Entertainment, a California corporation, brought the suit against Kupper.

Kupper's attorney, Charles N. Quinn, said his client no longer is in the T-shirt business.
