Cordelia Straup Mays, 92, died Jan. 9, 1990, in a Salt Lake care center.

Born February 11, 1897, in Salt Lake City, daughter of the late Utah Supreme Court Justice, Daniel Newton Straup and Della Lindley Straup. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1918, and graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in pharmacy in 1919. She married the late Judge Arthur J. Mays in 1922.Survivors: Children, Barbara Ratto, Burlingame, Calif.; Daniel Straup Mays, Salt Lake City; Adele Edens, Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Danella Straup Cope, Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Mays was a charter member of Pi Beta Phi in Salt Lake City. Member, 1st Unitarian Church. Member, Reviewers Club. Active in the League of Women Voters. Memorial services, 3 p.m. at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 So., Saturday, Jan. 13.
