Ronald S. Buchanan, 58, died February 22, 1990 in a Salt Lake hospital.
Born December 30, 1931 in Lewiston, Utah, son of Royal Henry and Esther Jamison Buchanan. Married Betty L. Olsen July 17, 1971 in Elko. He was reared and educated in Ogden, graduated from Weber State College. Retired from the U.S. Army after serving in Korea and Viet Nam where he received the Bronze Star. He enjoyed bingo, gardening, and fishing. He was employed by the G.S.A. as a security specialist.Survived by wife, Taylorsville; son, Michael R. Buchanan, West Valley City; daughter, Mrs. Linda Armid, Berlin, Germany; mother, Roy; brother, Stan J. Buchanan, South Weber; sister, Mrs. LaVar (Dixie Dawn) Sanders, Ogden. Preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 26, 11 a.m., Olsen-Myers Mortuary in Brigham City, 205 South 1st East, where friends may call Sunday, 7-9 p.m. and Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery with military honors accorded.
