Irene Bunch Belden, age 78, died Feb. 26, 1990 at her home in Salt Lake City, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 20, 1912 in Baker County, Oregon, daughter of Samuel Hamilton Bunch and Flora Rebecca Morin Bunch. Married Dr. Galen O. Belden Nov. 18, 1934 in Salt Lake City. She was a past Worthy Chaplin of Mizpah Chapter #5 Order of Eastern Star and a member of Martha Club, member of Episcopal Church, active in the Cub Scout program and the Rescue Mission. Member of DeMolay Mother's Club and the Duplicate Bridge Club. Retired registered nurse.Survived by husband, Dr. Galen O. Belden, Salt Lake City; son, Scott Belden, daughter, Kathleen Belden, granddaughter, Staci Dumesnil, all of Salt Lake; sister, Norma Poff, Arizona City, AZ; brother, Clifford Bunch, Nyssa, Oregon.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 2, at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Funeral directors, Evans and Early.
