Dr. Ole Marcus "Mark" Jenkins, died February 24, 1990 in a San Diego, California hospital.
Born May 2, 1908 in Provo, to Walter and Flora Berg Jenkins. Received early education in Maeser Elementary School, Brigham High School and two years at Brigham Young University. Moved to Whittier, California with his family in 1929. Received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Southern California in 1933; established his dental practice in Whittier. Received his post graduate degree in oral surgery from Northwestern University in 1939 and in 1942 entered the U.S. Air Force and served at McGowan Field in Boise, Idaho until his discharge. Became partner in a large medical complex in Whittier and continued his practice in dentistry and oral surgery. Married Helen Field in 1937. Made their home in Whittier; later divorced. In 1973 sold his practice and partnership and moved to San Juan Caspistrano, California and recently purchased a home in San Marcos, California where he was living at the time of his death.Survived by a son, Don L. Jenkins, vice-president of Rio Hondo College, Whittier, California; a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Marilyn) Scott, Berwyn, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. John (Edna Mae) Steel, San Luis Obispo, California; and Mrs. Duane (Flora Lee) Ballard, Whittier, California; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a very dear friend and companion, Margaret of San Marcos.

It was his wish that contributions be made to: The National Red Cross Assoc. for their help in obtaining and furnishing the blood he received during his illness with leukemia.
