Our sweet and loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Jacqueline "Jackie" Maidy Arbogast Rona, age 68, passed away April 9, 1990 at the home of her daughter in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born April 26, 1921, in France, the daughter of Alphonse and Sophie Matz Arbogast. Married Herbert Rona, December 11, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. "Jackie" is a retired Granite School District teacher, who enjoyed travel (she was also affiliated with the Western Travel Agency) and took many of her school classes plus private groups to her home country and other areas of Europe and the World. She was a member of the Circle de'Francaise (French Club). Active member of the L.D.S. Church, she served in many callings over the years, including serving a mission in the Swiss Temple. She loved her family and many friends dearly. Her passing will leave a great void in our lives.Survived by three sons and two daughters, Mrs. Paul "Edie" Smart, John (wife Darlene) Rona, and Peter (wife Kim) Rona, all from Salt Lake City; Daniel (wife (Marilyn) Rona, Israel; and Mrs. Kib "Lily" Pearson, California; and 18 grandchildren. Preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 14th, 11 a.m., at the South Cottonwood 7th Ward, 1260 East 4800 So., with Bishop William C. White officiating. Friends may call Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, and at the ward on Saturday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Sunset Gardens of the Valley. Funeral Directors: the Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
