Bountiful's most famous diplomat, Holly Cook, receives a plaque from Bountiful mayor Bob Linnell after returning from a 25-city exhibition tour. Cook won a bronze medal at the 1990 World Figure Skating Championships in March. She had placed third in U.S. championships earlier this year in Salt Lake City. "She's a great ambassador," said City Manager Tom Hardy. "We could not spend enough money to get Bountiful on the map as we got through Holly's exposure." Saying she is glad to be home, the 19-year-old Viewmont High School graduate was obviously road-weary after the 45-day tour that followed her victory. Cook said she plans to compete in next year's figure skating championships and is eyeing the 1992 Winter Olympics.
