The regular season doesn't start until Monday, but the Pittsburgh Pirates are ready now.

The Pirates are 8-5 with one exhibition game remaining, and Manager Jim Leyland is set to start the season with the most experienced of his five Pittsburgh teams.Leyland said Saturday that right-handers Randy Kramer and Mike Roesler and left-hander Scott Ruskin won the final spots on the 12-man pitching staff. Roesler and Ruskin are the only rookies on the 27-man roster.

Kramer's spot was in jeopardy when he was rocked in two consecutive outings, but he pitched two scoreless innings in the Pirates' 1-0 loss Friday to St. Louis.

The Pirates open Monday afternoon against the Mets in New York.
