Myrtle Helen Friedman, age 97, a lifelong resident of Hailey, Idaho, died Aug. 12, 1990, at her residence in Hailey.
Born June 1, 1893, in Hailey, Idaho, she was the daughter of Simon J. and Lusha A. Meyer Friedman, Hailey pioneers who operated one of the earliest mercantiles in the area. She was a graduate of the University of Chicago. She was an insurance agent for several years, and served as a volunteer for the Red Cross and USO for about 40 years.Surviving are: Several nieces and nephews, including Stanley and Sandra Friedman, Chester, New Jersey; Edward and Rhonda and Rhonda Friedman, Warminster, Penn.; Sandy and Pat Friedman, King of Prussia, Penn. She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and her parents.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 1990, at the B'Nai Israel Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the Wood River Funeral Chapel, Hailey, Idaho.
