Eight years after Al Hirt closed his Bourbon Street club, lamenting the proliferation of tacky T-shirt shops and crime and the demise of jazz in the French Quarter, the trumpeter is coming back. Hirt hasannounced he will play regularly at a nightclub called Jelly Roll's opening at the address of his old club. His first appearance is set for Oct. 26.
