To the editor:
At one time, politicians at least bothered to disguise dishonesty or morally wrong behavior. Today, they fully expose it and voters seem little affected. George Bush is an example. His oil interests definitely clash with the great majority of Americans. His present policy is to increase consumers' oil intake. (Wasn't he to change hats when elected?) The future more solidly lies in other energy forms.
If electric car technology increased instead, Americans would be better served. Freedom from Mideast conspiracies could then be possible, eventually. Is that too sensible?
