A new chief executive officer has been named at Mountain View Hospital to replace Steve Walston, who accepted a similar position in Idaho Falls.

Don Larsen, currently the CEO at Castleview Hospital in Price, took over at the Payson hospital this past week. He will manage both hospitals until a new administrator is chosen for Castleview.Walston will take over as CEO of Eastern Idaho Medical Center this month. He joined Mountain View, owned by HealthTrust Inc., two years ago when he transferred from Brigham City Community Hospital.

During his time at Mountain View, Walston was involved in a multimillion-dollar construction project due to be completed in November. He also directed the expansion of services the addition of a nuclear medicine imaging camera, heart catheterization laboratory and brain mapping instrumentation. Walston served on the Utah Hospital Association Task Force.
