Lurleen Greer Tucker, an Oakland, California resident for many years, and most recently at the Crosslands in Sandy, Utah, passed away Sunday, November 3, 1991, at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born May 20, 1910, in Eagar, Arizona, the daughter of Orson Pratt Greer, Sr. and Emma Belle Brown Greer. She was the beloved wife of the late John Paul (Jack) Tucker. They were married in August of 1930 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Oakland LDS Temple.She was the beloved mother of Sandra Tucker Zicarelli, Los Angeles; Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.) Paul Kelvin Tucker, Washington, D.C.; and Dr. David Greer Tucker, Edmonton Alberta. She was a very special loving mother-in-law, to Pat Anthony, Corinna and Pat; and sister of, Polly Louise
Hanna, Prescott, Arizona; Orson Pratt Greer, Jr., Phoenix, Arizona. Loving grandmother of,
Michael David Tucker, Karyn Lurlene Tucker
Patterson, John Preston Tucker, Jr., Michael Freides-Tucker, James Alan Tucker, Edward E. (Teddy) Zicarelli, II, Christina Catherine Zicarelli, and great-grandmother of, Matthew
Christopher Tucker.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and long-time member of the Oakland Third Ward, serving for many years as music director and organist. She was an accomplished pianist and accompanist. She was an inspiration to all the members of her family who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be held in Oakland, California, Friday, November 8, 1991, 1 p.m., in the Laurel Funeral Chapel.
