Weber State University's prestigious literary journal, Weber Studies, will be published three times annually starting in 1992.
"Just as Weber State has matured by becoming a university," says journal editor Neila C. Seshachari, professor of English, "so too has Weber Studies matured to become a tri-quarterly publication."Weber Studies is now a biannual publication featuring original prose, poetry, scholarly analysis, interviews and literary criticism. In 1992, the College of Arts & Humanities will begin publishing winter, spring/summer and fall issues of the journal.
Weber Studies was launched as an annual publication in 1984. When Seshachari became editor in 1987, she adopted a biannual publication schedule, arranged for the journal to be listed in five international indexes of literary data and made subscriptions available to academic libraries and scholars.
"Weber Studies wins prestige for Weber State University in academic circles in a way that no athletic team or research program can match," Seshachari said.
