Henry Snow Day, 77, died at his home in Draper, May 17, 1991, of cancer.

He was born September 28, 1913 in Draper, Utah to Andrew J. and Mary Elizabeth Snow Day. On September 1, 1931, he married Effie Irene Blackner, in Salt Lake City, Utah; Effie preceded him in death February 4, 1989. He married Martha Brown Day in Draper, Utah on October 14, 1989. Henry grew up in Draper and graduated from Jordan High School. During his life he spent 60 years in the automobile industry serving his customers and employees. For 11 years he was a franchised Studebaker Dealer in Draper. The following 35 years, he was a franchised Ford Dealer in Midvale and then Salt Lake City. He was an active member of the Draper Park and Field, Draper Lions Club, United Way, Utah Auto Dealers Association and Ford Dealers Advertisers Association. Henry was an avid sportsman who loved fishing, hunting, golfing and bowling. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining. He was also a member of the LDS Church.Survivors: wife, Martha; son and daughters and their spouses, Michael H. and Carolyn Day; Shauna Lee and Harry Rudd; Joycelyn and Richard Maynes; Tonya and Weston Atkinson; Diana and Jerry Hendricksen; Marjorie and Kim Ihler; stepchildren, Sherman and Afton Day; Gerald and LuAnn Day; Louann and George Greenwood; Glen and Helen Fairbourn; 28 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; brothers, Andrew J. Day II, LaCanada, California; Ralph S. Day, Draper; Darrell S. Day, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by a sister and brothers, Phyllis Smith, Willard S. Day, Ross S. Day and Harold Robert Day.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 20, 1991, 1 p.m. in the Draper 12th LDS Ward Chapel, 12300 South 600 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Sunday from 5:30-8 p.m. and Monday at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Draper Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Primary Childrens Medical Center of the Utah Boys Ranch.
