New Jersey signed Rick Mahorn, reuniting the center-forward with coach Chuck Daly. The 34-year-old Mahorn, who played for Il Messaggero in the Italian league last season, reportedly signed a three-year deal for $1.9 million. The Nets waived guard Doug Lee to make room for Mahorn.
