William Patrick Taliaferro, 43, of Salt Lake City, died December 13, 1992.
Born August 11, 1949 in Portland, Maine, the son of William Colton and Rachel Sullivan Taliaferro. He retired from US Marine Corps. He had served in Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star and a Silver Star for Valor. Member VFW and the Footprinters. Served as a volunteer for Ft. Douglas Museum, where he did a lot of research for the museum. He married Elaine McGee, September 2, 1978.Survived by his wife, Elaine, Salt Lake City; parents, William and Rachel Taliaferro; grandmother, Mrs. Patrick Sullivan, all of Tucson, Arizona; two brothers, Paul and Peter and sister, Ivy Jane Magnus, all of Maine.
Funeral services Wednesday 8 p.m., Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Burial: Thursday, 12 noon, Utah Veterans Memorial Park, at Camp Williams.
