A neo-Nazi group allegedly involved in attacks on foreigners was banned Tuesday, the fourth such group to be outlawed this month by German authorities.

National Offensive, the newly banned group, is believed to have about 140 members and has distributed anti-Semitic propaganda and been involved in anti-foreigner violence, said Interior Minister Rudolf Seiters.Right-wing radicals have carried out more than 2,100 attacks this year, most of them against foreigners, leaving 17 people dead and hundreds injured.

Other neo-Nazi groups outlawed this month are the Nationalistic Offensive, the German Alternative, and the Alliance of German Comrades, which was banned on Monday.
