The Viewmont boys basketball team just continues to roll. Tuesday night the top-ranked Vikings used a big third quarter and saw the Jensen brothers score 36 points en route to a 76-64 Region One victory over Layton.
Viewmont, at 13-0, is the only 4A team in the state without a loss. In fact, each of the other 27 teams in the state's largest high school classification have at least two setbacks.On Tuesday, Andy Jensen, a 6-foot-7 center, scored a game-high 21 points, while his younger brother Alex added 15. Lance Dunkley scored 16 and Matt Drake added 15 in the losing cause for the Lancers, who fall to 1-4 in the region and 3-10 overall.
Viewmont's unbeaten streak will get a stiff test Friday night, however, when they face Davis on the road. The Darts, who had a bye Tuesday night, should be well-rested. Davis enters the game tied with Viewmont in league play with identical 5-0 marks.

REGION TWO
Brighton 45, East 34
At Brighton, the second-ranked Bengals avenged an earlier loss to the Leopards behind 21 points by Alex Fisher. Brighton trailed by a point at the half, but came out strong defensively in the third quarter to take the lead. Ryan Farmer added 10 points for the Bengals, who remain in a tie for the region lead with a 6-2 mark. East's 6-foot-9 junior center Nate Gardner scored 16 points. The Leopards are now 3-5 in region play.
Cottonwood 52, Highland 43
At Cottonwood, the Colts stayed in contention for a state playoff berth with a victory over the Rams. Cottonwood was led by Bradley Miller's 21 points. The Colts are now 2-5 in the region, while Highland falls to 2-6. Justin Scott and Gary Langston scored 11 points apiece for the Rams.
Skyline 67, Olympus 53
At Skyline, Jaron Boone scored 23 points to lead the surprising Eagles to their sixth league victory. The win keeps Skyline in a tie for first with Brighton at 6-2, a half-game ahead of idle Alta (5-2). Adam Olds netted 18 for the Eagles, while Scott Brienholt added 17. The Titans fall to 3-5 in the region and are tied with East for fourth place.
REGION SIX
West 63, Judge 50
At Judge, junior guard Chris Stepan scored 20 points to lead the Panthers over the Bulldogs. West is now 5-4 and very much in contention for a playoff berth, while Judge Memorial falls to 1-8 in league play. Gavin Malcolm scored 14 points for the Bulldogs, while Ben Melmeth added 11.
Murray 80, Tooele 70
At Murray, the Spartans picked up a much-needed victory behind Kevin Carlston's 28 points. Both teams are now 5-4 in league play. Brian Anderson and Joey Johnsen scored 20 and 18 points respectively for Murray. The Buffaloes were led by Drew Hansen's 22 and Todd Warner's 20 points.
Granite 82, Woods Cross 59
At Granite, the fourth-ranked Farmers' victory combined with Bountiful's loss moved Granite into sole possession of first place in the region with a 7-2 mark. Jeff Simmons and Pat McGrath each scored 17 points, while David Young and Mike Hutchings added 16 points apiece for the Farmers. The loss drops the Wildcats to 1-8 in the region. Jamie Coombs scored 15 to lead Woods Cross.
