David Tiberi left middleweight champion James Toney dehydrated and with leg cramps in their 12-round bout Saturday, but Toney left with his title in a contoversial split decision.

The International Boxing Federation champ was too tired to come out for the post-fight news conference, but manager Jackie Kallen blamed herself for his exhaustion. She said she allowed Toney to get lazy after a Dec. 13 draw with Mike McCallum.Both camps said they want to see a rematch, perhaps the April 11 undercard of the George Foreman-Alex Stewart bout in Las Vegas.
